James (Hal) McMahon, Jr.

Hal's Bio
After 10 years of work in the construction industry, Hal began his career with Mac’s in 1984 as a project assistant, guided by his father and Mac’s founder, James McMahon, Sr. Hal officially took over the reigns as President in 2010. His commitment to hire and invest in the very best people has distinguished Mac’s as an industry leader throughout the Southeast. Hal also directs the company’s investment in technical education and community and civic organizations and projects.

James' Bio
As the third generation and namesake of Mac’s founder, James has spent his career preparing to lead Mac’s and grow the company’s legacy for future generations. Since 2015, James has focused on the company’s delivery of quality projects that exceed clients’ expectations and that are on time and within budget. He actively oversees all financial aspects, from purchasing equipment to monitoring job costs, and works closely with project managers to ensure projects’ efficiency.
John McMahon

John joined the family business in 2019, beginning his construction career by working in the field as a project assistant. That experience, coupled with his personnel and relationship-building skills, has led to John overseeing Mac’s business development and strategic planning, while also serving as a project manager and now as Vice President of Operations, Alabama.
Michael Sterling

Michael's Bio
Michael began his career with Mac’s in 2015 as a project manager, while also being trained as a project estimator. Since 2019 Michael has led Mac’s transition into the digital era of construction and served as our senior project manager. He provides input and analysis while working closely with Mac’s management to formulate decisions that benefit our company and clients.
Eddie Burger

In his role as senior project manager, Eddie assists the estimating department in securing qualified subcontractors and suppliers to provide accurate pricing for Mac’s bidding process. He has been a member of Mac’s team since 2019.
Austin Smith

Austin joined the Mac’s team in 2025 with 14 years’ experience in the construction industry. Austin completed his undergraduate degree at Southern Miss then received his MBA at Mississippi State University. With his experience, Austin plays a key role with estimating and building strong relationships with owners, architects, and subcontractors.
Mike Lowery

When Mike joined Mac’s team more than 30 years ago, he was an experienced estimator with a degree in construction architectural engineering technology. As chief estimator, he oversees all aspects of the bidding and negotiating of construction projects. His analytical skills and experience are invaluable assets in Mac’s decision-making process regarding projects to bid.

After spending his internship with Mac’s in 2024-2025, Charlie graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2025 and came on full-time as Assistant Project Manager. Charlie works closely with project managers and superintendents to execute successful projects.

A veteran who served in the Air Force, Tyler joined Mac’s in 2022 as an estimator after receiving a Bachelor’s in Construction Management from the University of Southern Mississippi.

After graduating the Architecture Program at the University of Southern Mississippi, Stacy has spent her career in the construction industry in various roles. As Contract Administrator, Stacy assists the Project Management team through the entire lifecycle of a project with contracts, administration, and close-out.

Since joining Mac’s team in 2017, Regina has excelled at multi-tasking and prioritizing data to ensure management and project managers have accurate information, which translates into timely payment decisions. She has more than 20 years of experience working in accounting receivables, payables, and payroll.
Jima Alexander
HUMAN RESOURCES & SAFETY MANAGER
Jima's Bio
A part of Mac’s team since 2015, Jima manages human resources and safety. She plays a vital role between the office and the field, ensuring Mac’s and its employees remain compliant with local, state, and federal regulations. Her direct safety oversight for projects includes weekly site visits to ensure all employees are adhering to Mac’s high standards of safety, with an end goal of zero incidents.
